"Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Even a weak discharge of 5 volts can severely damage sensitive components such as microchips. This quickly becomes a problem in many occupational activities because the human body can also become charged - and then discharges when touched.
Antistatic + conductive causes confusion here (ESD is anything from 0.1 MOhm to 35 MOhm, conductive < 0.1 Mohm and antistatic from 1x105 MOhm to 1x109).
However, our ESD shoes dissipate these accumulated static charges from the body in a controlled manner.
Technical details
The limit value of the leakage resistance for ESD shoes is between 7.5 x 105 and 3.5 x 107 Ω. However, dirt, moisture and temperature can change the electrical resistance considerably. We therefore recommend regular on-site testing of the electrical resistance. The floor resistance in ESD areas should be such that the protective function provided by the shoe is not cancelled.
This is regulated by the standard DIN EN 61340-5-1. ESD shoes from SCHÜRR fully comply with this standard! Are you looking for shoes for the electronics, pharmaceutical or semiconductor industry? Then SCHÜRR is the right choice for you!
